What are 10 cm AAC blocks used for?
10 cm AAC blocks (20x60x10 cm) are thicker than 7.5 cm, so they insulate against sound and heat better. Each block weighs about 9 kg and a wall takes 8.33 blocks per m². A 10 cm Q-CON wall rates about STC 38, which makes this thickness a popular choice for exterior house walls and walls between rooms that need privacy.
