What is 6 mm cement board used for?

6 mm cement board works for both ceilings and walls. On ceilings it is stiffer and less prone to sagging than 4 mm, which suits soffits exposed to strong wind and ceilings with wider framing. On walls it makes interior partitions that don't take much impact, and feature panels fixed over existing walls.
