What is 20 mm cement board used for?

20 mm cement board is the most popular floor thickness, for mezzanines, raised house floors, balconies and extensions. It carries household loads well and allows wider joist spacing than thinner boards, and comes in both fiber cement and cement bonded board.

Types and applications

• Fiber cement: Smart Board 20 mm, SHERA floor board, TPI, DURA One, Diamond, Hahuang and Conwood.
• Cement bonded board: VIVA Board 20 mm floor board, SCG cement board and Olarn Easy interior floor board.
• Finished floors: SCG MegaFlor with grain or 6-inch grooves, and VIVA Decor wood and stone.
