What is flat steel formwork used for, and what sizes are available?
Flat steel forms are used to cast smooth-faced concrete, such as square columns, beams, walls and slabs. Panels of different sizes are joined to cover the required area. Panels are 1200 mm long and 300, 400, 500 or 600 mm wide, in several thicknesses to suit the load, written as sheet x frame x rib, for example 1.4x2x2, 2x2x2 and 2x3x3 mm.
Matching accessories include clips, connectors, U-heads, jack bases, L-shaped column forms, props and scaffolding.
