What sizes does prestressed hollow core slab come in, and what live load can it carry?
Hollow core slabs are 6-30 cm thick, 30, 60 or 120 cm wide, and up to 12 m long. They are made from no-slump dry concrete with a 28-day compressive strength of at least 350 kg/cm2 (at least 400 for 120 cm wide slabs). The hollow cores keep the slab light and can carry water pipes or electrical cables, and the smooth underside needs no plastering or ceiling cover.
