60x120 cm T-Bar Ceiling Tiles

60x120 cm T-bar tiles: which rooms suit them

60x120 cm tiles suit large rooms, offices, meeting rooms and shops. At about 1.4 tiles per m² you need half as many as with 60x60, with fewer cross tees, so installation is faster. Most are 9-12 mm thick so the tile doesn't sag mid-span.

Types and uses

• Moisture-resistant and plain ColorTouch gypsum tiles for offices and shops
• Foil-backed tiles for top-floor ceilings
• Acoustic tiles such as KS-Acoustone, USG and Armstrong for meeting rooms and classrooms

Before you buy

• Tiles come in 60x120 or 59.5x119.5 cm; match them to your T-bar grid
• 12 mm and thicker tiles sag less in humid rooms
• Small rooms and homes usually use 60x60 cm tiles
• Use hold-down clips where wind or door drafts could lift large tiles
