What does a T-bar ceiling suspension system consist of, and what load can it carry?
T-bar runners are made from galvanized steel 0.35 mm thick, folded double into a T-shape (0.70 mm in total) with a 24 mm face, polyester-painted on the visible face. The hot-dip zinc layer is up to 180 g/sq.m. to TIS 50-2538, and load capacity is tested to ASTM C635.
- Main runner: 32x24x3,600 or 38x24x3,600 mm.
- Cross runner: 25x24x1,200 and 25x24x600 mm.
- Wall angle (L angle): 22x22x3,000 mm.
- Hangers: 4 mm galvanized wire at 1,200x1,200 mm spacing, fixed to the slab soffit with anchors rated to no less than 120 kg per point.
