T-Bar Ceiling Tiles 60x60 & 60x120 cm

What sizes do coated T-bar ceiling tiles come in, and which options should you choose?

Factory-coated gypsum T-bar ceiling tiles come in these standard sizes and thicknesses:

They are installed on a galvanized steel T-bar grid with a 24 mm face, and optional features are available to suit the area.

• Aluminium foil backing: reflects heat, suited to ceilings under a roof
• PVC backing: reduces moisture absorbed from behind and limits sagging, suited to air-conditioned rooms and bathrooms
• Moisture-resistant gypsum: suited to bathrooms, kitchens, basements and covered porches
• Vinyl face: wipes clean with a damp cloth and resists dust build-up on the tile

What are T-bar ceiling tiles?

T-bar ceiling tiles are ready-made tiles that drop into an exposed T-shaped steel grid hung from the roof or slab. A T-bar (suspended) ceiling goes up fast, needs no taping, and any tile lifts out for access to the services above, which is why it's popular in offices, shops, schools and homes.

Sizes and types

• 60x60 cm tiles for homes and small rooms, 60x120 cm tiles for large rooms
• Printed and plain gypsum tiles, 8-12 mm, ready to use without painting
• moisture-resistant T-bar tiles for bathrooms and kitchens, heat-resistant T-bar tiles for top floors
• acoustic ceiling tiles to reduce echo

Benefits

• Fast installation and lower labor cost than drywall ceilings
• Replace damaged tiles one at a time
• Wide choice of patterns and properties
• The grid is visible, and plain tiles can sag in damp rooms; use moisture-resistant tiles there
