What is large corrugated galvanized sheet?

Large corrugated galvanized sheet is zinc-coated steel rolled into a deep, wide corrugation. The tall profile stiffens the sheet and sheds rain quickly, which makes it the most common galvanized roofing sheet for homes, farm buildings, animal sheds, storage sheds and fences.

Large vs. small corrugated

Large corrugations are taller and wider, drain better and span purlins more stiffly, so they are the roofing choice. Small corrugated sheet has a tighter, shallower profile and is mostly used for fences and walls.

How many sheets do I need?

Divide the roof width by the 0.618 m coverage and round up: a 6 m wide roof needs about 10 sheets per row. Pick a sheet length slightly longer than ridge-to-eave, and allow an end lap where sheets join.
