Checked Plate or Checkered Plate is another type of steel plate. Checked Plate's key feature is its knobbly and roughness surface. These two features are useful to help reduce slipping away and slippering surfaces. Checked Plate is commonly used for footing and floor applications such as stairs, corridors, outdoor stairways, and even floor on truck. Due to its surface, Checked Plate has high friction and more endurance than flat surface steel plate. The common grade of steel that is used to produce Checked Plate is SS400.
