What is 8 mm cement board used for?
8 mm cement board is the standard drywall thickness, fixed to steel C-studs and U-tracks for partitions, bathroom walls and single-storey exterior walls. It is stiff enough that the wall doesn't flex when pressed, and it holds light items such as frames or small shelves with suitable anchors.
