Castellated Beams

Cellular Beam is made to order product. The materials are made of beams specially cut and joint from the factory.

Honey Comb is a castellated beam that is fabricated from standard Wide Flange steel. The beam will be split along its length by profileed flame cut. The two havles of the beam are then separated displaced by one profile and reconnected by welding, thus forming hexagonal holes along the web.

Castellated beams have a deeper section compared to that of solid beam, which has greater resistance to deflection. They are therefore commonly used for long span applications with light structure. This helps provide more efficiency of the section in bending. The more advantage of castellated beams is the holes in the web, which can provide a route for services
