What is a welded mesh fence made of, and what are the standard sizes?
A welded mesh fence is made from cold-drawn steel wire or concrete reinforcing bar, joined by electrical resistance welding on automatic machines. Wire spacing and cross-section are uniform, the mesh does not bend out of shape easily, the welds are fused as one piece, and it handles tension well. Welded mesh also has a yield strength up to 2 times that of ordinary rebar. Colours available are galvanized, white, green, blue, grey and black.
Panels come in two patterns, Stick and Arrow, each 2.4 m long, with 6 or 7 mm wire.
