2. เกลียวของทั้ง 2 ระบบนั้น ไม่สามารถนำมาใช้ด้วยกันได้

3. Pitch ในระบบมิล จะเป็น "ระยะห่างระหว่างเกลียว"  ซึ่งสำหรับการดูว่าเป็นเกลียวหยาบ หรือ เกลียวละเอียด ของระบบมิลคือ เกลียวหยาบ จะมีระยะห่างระหว่างเกลียว มากกว่า เกลียวละเอียด

4. Pitch ในระบบหุน จะเป็น "จำนวนเกลียว" ซึ่งสำหรับการดูว่าเป็นเกลียวหยาบ หรือ เกลียวละเอียด ของระบบหุนคือ เกลียวหยาบ จะเรียก UNC หรือ NC (มาตรฐาน USA) , BSW (มาตรฐาน British-UK) ส่วนเกลียวละเอียดจะเรียก UNF หรือ NF (มาตรฐาน USA)
