How does galvanized conduit resist rust and install easily?

Galvanized steel conduit is made by rolling steel strip into a tube, seam-welding it, then hot-dip galvanizing it on a continuous line, followed by an anti-corrosion coating. The inner wall is coated with epoxy resin, which is electrically insulating, protects against rust and makes wire pulling easier.

• Standards include UL/ANSI (EMT, IMC, RSC), BS 31-1940, BS 4568-1970 and TIS 770.
• The seam is small and free of sharp edges, which suits wire pulling, and the pipe can be bent without the coating cracking.
• Machine-cut threads at the ends make a tight joint that helps keep water out.
• The zinc outer layer and epoxy inner layer help resist chemicals and sea air.
