Casting and Sculpting Plaster
Casting and sculpting plaster for moulds, decorative cornices, ornaments, architectural pieces and sculpture. Gypsum casting plaster sets fast and picks up fine detail for interior work, while cement sculpting mortar stands up to sun and rain outdoors. From Gypcon and TPI, delivered across Thailand.
Casting and Sculpting Plaster
Casting and sculpting plaster is used for moulds, decorative cornices, wall and ceiling ornaments, architectural details, sculpture and art pieces. The fine powder picks up crisp detail in the mould and releases cleanly.
Gypsum plaster vs cement sculpting mortar
- Gypsum casting plaster sets in minutes with a smooth white finish and light weight, best for interior castings, ceiling cornices and moulds
- Cement sculpting mortar is stronger and weatherproof, for exterior ornaments, columns, arches and outdoor sculpture
Tips
Sprinkle the powder into the water rather than pouring water onto powder, let it soak briefly, then stir for a smooth, bubble-free mix. Coat the mould with release agent first and mix only what you can pour in one go, because gypsum plaster sets fast. For white terrazzo or washed-gravel finishes, see white cement.
